It all began when .....
Back in May 2005 , two Macclesfield mums applied to the 'People's Millions Big Lottery Fund' to win £50,000 to set up a play centre for children with special needs. After campaigning on TV and winning support from the town , their dream became a reality.
But it was'nt plain sailing , and after lots of hard work , planning and determination from both families (and not to mention being on a roller coaster ride) , their dream did become a reality back in August 2006 when J.J's Sensory Play Centre finally opened its doors.
Jane's family consisting of husband Charlie , eldest son Jack , daughter Annie who has Down's Syndrome and youngest son Tom all helped with the renovations before the doors opened. As did Joanne's family , consisting of husband Steve , eldest daughter Leah , son Louis , son Harvey who has Down's Syndrome and youngest son Callum.
Without the support from family and friends Jane and Joanne would not have accomplished such a dream.
